Jackson Square Partners secures financing for UK-based nursery group
LONDON: 1 May 2025 – Charles Keyser, Partner, and Head of Private Credit Solutions at Jackson Square Partners Limited (“Jackson Square” or “the Company”), a newly formed international capital advisory boutique, has secured a new debt facility to support the expansion of a UK-based children’s nursery group.
The five-year facility is structured with a day-one Term Loan plus an additional accordion option to support ongoing acquisitions of the group. The loan was provided by a well-known, Manchester-based private credit manager specialising in the lower-mid-market.
The funding will support London-headquartered Lion Cubs Nurseries Ltd to acquire a portfolio of children’s day nurseries across the UK. The first acquisition included a group comprising 4 settings across Yorkshire with a combined capacity of over 200 children ranging from three months to five years of age.
Formally launched in January 2025 and operating from offices in London and New York, Jackson Square will look to service clients in the UK, Europe, and the US, with a focus on private equity-owned businesses and corporates in the lower to core mid-market, as well as developers and operators of property and infrastructure.
Jackson Square’s clients will benefit from access to a global network of over 200 investors – and already has several opportunities that are in the process of being assessed across Western and Eastern Europe, the US and Africa.
